Strivright- The Auditory Oral School of New York (AOSNY) was founded by Pnina Bravmann, a highly trained expert in the field of Audiology and Speech Pathology, and the mother of a hearing-impaired child herself. Over the past 12 years, Strivright-AOSNY has helped well over 3,000 children, and we continue to make miracles happen every day. Strivright-AOSNY has a bold "yes, we can" approach, where children with hearing, speech, and processing issues are taught to speak, hear, play, and ultimately integrate completely into mainstream schools. Our philosophy is aimed at enabling our students to go on to live absolutely unlimited, successful lives with all social opportunities, academic choices, and career options open before them.

Our multi-disciplinary team evaluates children from birth to 3 years and delivers intensive, quality services individually and in small groups.
We offer a comprehensive range of services to children ages 3-5 in our brand-new, state-of-the-art building. Home-based ProgramChildren can also be evaluated and receive services in other convenient settings, such as your home or daycare. Strivright-AOSNY can all of the above services in your home or another location.

NYSSHLA Distinguished Clinical Service Award (2011)

We've been helping children in New York for over a decade, and our parents have had a lot to say about what we do!
When Shira came to the school, she had a lot of difficulty expressing herself. Now she’s a different child. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
- Shira’s Mom
Our son Jack was born with profound hearing loss in both ears. We came to AOSNY/Strivright-AOSNY because of the excellent reputation that is had for working with hearing impaired children from and early age. It was the best decision we could have made for Jack.
Jack's progress has been steady and remarkable. We both know that his education at Strivright-AOSNY has been essential in his development. What Pnina and her staff do at the school is nothing short of miraculous.
- Jack’s Dad
From the moment we entered your building with our daughter, we knew this was the place for her. Chava has grown and blossomed over this year thanks to the warm, caring and dedicated teachers, therapists and staff. Their professionalism and concern for each child help make AOSNY/Strivright-AOSNY the wonderful place it is. We are so grateful for everything...
- Chava’s Mom
I have seen tremendous progress with Eliana’s speech [and] social skills. She has grown into a mature beautiful girl that I can be very proud of.
- Eliana’s Mom

Strivright-AOSNY taught him all the skills necessary for him to succeed socially and academically. Thanks to his teachers and therapists, he is doing beautifully in mainstream.
- Henry’s Mom
Lawrence has grown into an honest, considerate, hardworking young boy, and we know that we have Strivright-AOSNY to thank for that.
The one-on-one attention Lawrence received from your teachers has made him confident in his abilities and sparked his interest in many different subjects. Strivright-AOSNY is a supportive community focused on giving each student the best education possible.
- Lawrence’s Mom
Around this time last year, he could barely say Mommy or Papi. [But] since Marco has started school at Strivright-AOSNY, his speech has improved, he knows his ABC’s, he can count from 1 to 20, and he knows most of the colors. He talks so much at home that we cannot keep him quiet.
We appreciate all the work that the staff at Strivright-AOSNY has done for our little Marco. Thank you very much.
- Marco’s Mom
What an impact you have made in Kemmy’s life! From not being able to sit still, not speaking, and not comprehending, he’s now a child who can sit in a classroom, learning and soaking in all that’s going on around him.
- Kemmy’s Mom
How to get your child into Strivright-AOSNY All children must be evaluated prior to enrollment. For your child to be admitted into Strivright-AOSNY, the parents must be committed to being partners with the school in your child's auditory and oral education.
Children who are approved through the NYC Department of Health (ages 0-3) or the NYC Board of Education (ages 3-5) are eligible to receive services at no cost to parents. Children who are not approved through these sources or are above the age of 5 will be charged tuition. A scholarship fund is maintained to assist parents who are in need of financial aid.
Admissions Policy Strivright-AOSNY admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
